Embergrid is an offline-first, original-IP grid-bomb arcade game developed by WizusLabs. This Privacy Policy describes how the Embergrid application (“the App”) handles your information. We are committed to transparency about what data exists on your device, what third-party services may collect when you use Embergrid, and what choices you have.
Embergrid is engineered for a strong privacy posture in the mobile arcade category: no account, no login, no analytics, no telemetry, no cloud sync, and no personal data collected by WizusLabs from your use of the App. Embergrid does show advertising, but only through a single, optional rewarded-video surface on the post-round Results screen — there are no banners, no interstitials, and no advertising during gameplay itself. The third-party services that the App integrates (in-app purchase receipt validation and the rewarded-ad subsystem) operate under their own privacy policies and are described in detail below, together with the consent choices available to you.
1. Data We Collect
1a. Data Stored Locally on Your Device (Never Transmitted)
Embergrid is designed with an offline-first architecture. The following data is created and stored entirely on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
- Campaign progress — completed levels, star ratings, unlocked apprentices. Stored in Hive (device-local).
- Battle history (local) — most recent battle outcome for the Results screen state. Stored in Hive.
- Festival Coins balance — soft currency earned from round completion; spendable only on cosmetic in-app flair. Stored in Hive.
- App preferences — sound and music volume, control mode (tap vs. button), selected locale (en or vi), accessibility flags (reduced motion, high-contrast HUD). Stored in the platform’s built-in key-value storage.
- In-app purchase entitlement cache — a local record of which cosmetic skin packs you own, used to render owned skins immediately offline. The authoritative purchase record is maintained by your app store, not by us.
- Tutorial / first-launch flags — single Boolean flags indicating whether you have completed the tutorial and whether the in-app review prompt has been shown.
We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud services that receive any of this data. Your game data exists only on your device.
1b. Data Collected by Third-Party SDKs
Embergrid integrates a small number of third-party services that may collect data independently. The App itself does not collect, transmit, or process any personal data. However, the following services operate within the App and are subject to their own data collection practices.
RevenueCat (in-app purchase receipt validation)
- The App uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchase receipt validation and entitlement delivery for the cosmetic IAP catalog. RevenueCat acts as a server-side layer that communicates with your app store to verify purchase receipts and determine entitlement status.
- RevenueCat assigns an anonymous app user ID to each installation. This ID is not tied to your personal identity and cannot be used to identify you. The App does not pass your name, email, or any other personal identifier to RevenueCat.
- RevenueCat may collect: an anonymous app user ID; entitlement and purchase status (which skin packs are owned); purchase receipts (as provided by your app store); device platform and OS version; and the App version.
- No personal information (name, email, payment details) is collected by RevenueCat through the App. Payment processing is handled entirely by your app store; RevenueCat receives only the purchase receipt for validation.
- RevenueCat’s privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Advertising (Unity LevelPlay + Google AdMob — rewarded ads only)
- Embergrid shows advertising through Unity LevelPlay (ad mediation) and Google AdMob. Advertising is limited to a single, optional rewarded-video surface on the post-round Results screen — you may choose to watch a short video to double the coins you earned that round. There are no banner ads, no interstitial ads, and no advertising during the campaign or battle gameplay. The rewarded offer is always opt-in: you decide whether to watch, and skipping it costs you nothing.
- Consent (EEA / UK and comparable jurisdictions). Where required by law, the App presents a consent screen provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP), implementing the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) v2.2, before any ad is requested. You can review and change your choices at any time via Settings → Manage consent, which re-opens the consent screen.
- Advertising identifiers. When — and only when — you consent, the advertising SDKs may read your device’s advertising identifier (the IDFA on iOS, the Google Advertising ID (GAID / AD_ID) on Android) together with ad-interaction data, to measure and attribute ad performance and to serve more relevant ads. If you are in the EEA/UK and decline consent (specifically, if TCF Purpose 1 is not granted), the advertising identifier is not read, and on iOS the App Tracking Transparency prompt is suppressed (not shown).
- iOS App Tracking Transparency. On iOS, where tracking applies, the system App Tracking Transparency prompt is presented after the consent step, so you can allow or deny tracking at the operating-system level. If you deny it, tracking-based advertising is not used.
- Children. For users identified as under 13 / child-directed traffic, only non-personalized ads are served — behavioral ad targeting is disabled regardless of consent state.
- The advertising services collect and process data under their own privacy policies: Google AdMob / UMP (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Unity LevelPlay (https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy).
Platform In-App Purchase Processing
- The App offers cosmetic in-app purchases — four single-school skin packs at $4.99 each (Anu Marrow, Doro Kindle, Iyo Drift, Bex Hollowmoon) and one complete Festival Cosmetic Pack at $14.99 — processed by your app store’s standard in-app purchase system.
- The App never sees, stores, or transmits your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. All payment processing is handled by the platform. Receipt validation is handled by RevenueCat (see above).
External Links
- The App opens external URLs in your default browser when you tap Privacy / Terms / Support in the Settings screen. These open the WizusLabs developer site.
- The App passes the destination URL to your operating system’s standard URL-handling APIs. The App does not transmit any data about you to any third party as part of the URL launch.
- Once you leave the App for an external destination, the destination service operates under its own privacy policy.
1c. What We Do Not Use
Embergrid does not integrate or transmit data to any of the following:
- No analytics SDK (no Firebase Analytics, no AppsFlyer, no Adjust, no Branch, no Singular, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no Segment, no Kochava)
- No crash-reporting SDK (no Firebase Crashlytics, no Sentry, no Bugsnag)
- No remote push notification service — Embergrid does not send push notifications
- No social or authentication SDK — the App has no account system
- No location services
- No camera, microphone, contacts, photos, calendar, health, or sensor access
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
Embergrid does not collect, transmit, or process any of the following:
- No account creation, email addresses, names, or personal identifiers
- No analytics or telemetry data (no event tracking, no usage analytics, no funnel metrics, no retention cohort data)
- No location data of any kind
- No contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or other sensitive device permissions
- No data synced to any cloud service or remote server
- No browsing history, search history, or usage patterns transmitted off-device
- No health or fitness data
- The advertising identifier is not read by WizusLabs’ own code. The rewarded-ad SDKs (Unity LevelPlay + Google AdMob) read the advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID) only with your consent, and never in the EEA/UK when you decline — see Section 1b, “Advertising.”
3. Data Sharing
WizusLabs does not sell, rent, share, or transfer your personal data to any third party from its own code. The advertising SDKs handle their own data sharing as described below.
- RevenueCat operates under its own privacy policy (linked in Section 1b) and may collect data as described therein. We do not receive personally identifiable information from RevenueCat.
- Advertising (Unity LevelPlay + Google AdMob). When you consent, the advertising SDKs share your advertising identifier and ad-interaction data with the ad network to serve and measure ads, under their own privacy policies (Section 1b). If you decline in the EEA/UK, the advertising identifier is neither read nor shared. WizusLabs does not receive personally identifiable information from these services.
- Festival Coins, campaign progress, and preferences are stored only on your device and are never transmitted anywhere.
- In-app purchase transactions are processed by your app store. We receive only an anonymous entitlement confirmation (which skin packs are owned), not your payment details.
4. Data Retention
- All locally stored data (campaign progress, Festival Coins, preferences, purchase entitlement cache) persists on your device until you uninstall the App or manually clear the App’s data through your device settings.
- We do not maintain any server-side data stores. There is no server-side data to retain, expire, or delete.
- Third-party services (RevenueCat) retain data according to their own privacy policies.
5. Data Security
- All data stored by the App resides in your device’s local storage, protected by your device’s built-in security features (device encryption, lock screen, biometric authentication).
- The App does not transmit your game data or preferences over any network.
- Communications between the App and third-party services (RevenueCat for receipt validation) use industry-standard encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS).
6. Children’s Privacy
- Embergrid is a general-audience grid-bomb arcade game targeting Everyone (US), PEGI 7 (Europe), and a 4+ age rating. It features cartoon-style ember-craft festival explosions presented as celebratory fireworks. There is no blood, no gore, no realistic violence, no sexual content, no profanity, no drugs or alcohol, no gambling mechanics, no in-app communication, and no user-generated content.
- The App is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13 and is not enrolled in any kids/families program. However, because Embergrid’s content is age-appropriate for children and the App collects zero personal information directly, the App is compliant with:
- COPPA (US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) — no PII collection by WizusLabs from any user including children. For users identified as under 13 / child-directed, only non-personalized ads are served (behavioral ad targeting disabled)
- GDPR-K (EU GDPR child-protection provisions) — no PII collection by WizusLabs’ own code. Advertising is a single opt-in rewarded surface gated by the Google UMP / IAB TCF v2.2 consent screen; where a user declines (or is under 13 / child-directed), only non-personalized ads are served and the advertising identifier is not read. Third-party data processors are RevenueCat (anonymous IAP receipt validation; no PII) and the advertising SDKs (Unity LevelPlay + Google AdMob), each under their own privacy policy
- Vietnam PDPL (Personal Data Protection Law) — WizusLabs’ own code collects no personal data subject to PDPL notification or consent; the advertising identifier processed by the ad SDKs is collected only with the user’s consent (see Section 7, “Users in Vietnam”)
- If you are a parent or guardian and have questions about Embergrid’s data practices, please contact us at the email address in Section 10.
7. Your Rights and Choices
All users:
- You can delete all App data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App’s data in your device settings. (On most devices this is found under your device’s Storage or App settings for Embergrid.)
- Advertising choices. The rewarded ad is always opt-in — skipping it serves no ad. Where the Google UMP / IAB TCF v2.2 consent screen applies (EEA/UK and comparable jurisdictions), you can review and change your consent at any time via Settings → Manage consent. You can also reset or limit ad tracking at the operating-system level: on iOS via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking (and the App Tracking Transparency prompt), and on Android by resetting or deleting your Advertising ID in the device’s Ads/Privacy settings.
Users in the European Union / European Economic Area (GDPR):
- You have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection.
- Because Embergrid stores all user data locally on your device and we do not maintain any server-side data, these rights are exercised entirely through your device — uninstalling the App or clearing its data deletes everything we hold about your usage.
- For data collected by RevenueCat under your IAP transactions, please refer to RevenueCat’s privacy policy and use their data-subject-rights portal.
Users in California (CCPA / CPRA):
- California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
- We do not sell personal information that we collect directly. All locally stored data is under your direct control on your device.
- Embergrid does serve opt-in rewarded advertising. When you consent, the advertising SDKs may read and share your advertising identifier for ad measurement and personalization, which may constitute “sharing” under CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out by declining the consent screen (where shown), by using your device’s tracking / Advertising ID controls, or simply by not watching the rewarded ad.
Users in Vietnam (PDPL):
- Vietnam’s Personal Data Protection Law grants data subjects rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, and objection.
- WizusLabs’ own code collects no personal data subject to PDPL notification or consent obligations. The rewarded-ad SDKs (Unity LevelPlay + Google AdMob) do process your device’s advertising identifier for ad measurement and personalization — this is collected only with your consent and is disabled where you decline or are identified as under 13 / child-directed. For data potentially collected by RevenueCat and the advertising SDKs under their own contracts, please refer to their privacy policies and contact them directly to exercise PDPL rights.
- Vietnamese users may contact us at the email address in Section 10 with any PDPL-related questions.
8. International Data Transfers
WizusLabs itself does not transfer your personal data internationally because Embergrid’s own code does not collect personal data from your use of the App. Third-party services (RevenueCat and, when you consent to advertising, Unity LevelPlay + Google AdMob) may transfer data internationally per their own privacy policies; please refer to their documentation for the legal bases and safeguards they apply.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or applicable law. When we make changes:
- The updated policy will be posted at this URL.
- The “Last updated” date at the top of this document will be revised to reflect the date of the most recent changes.
- For material changes (such as adding a new SDK that collects data), we will update the App’s store listing to note the revision.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
10. Contact Us
If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or the App’s data practices, please contact us at:
