How the daily puzzle works
There is no puzzle server behind this page. When you open it, a small program reads today's date in UTC, turns it into a seed, and uses that seed to build a complete, valid solution and then carve out the blanks — always leaving a puzzle with exactly one solution. Because the same date always produces the same seed, everyone opening the page on the same day sees the same grid, and it changes the instant the UTC date rolls over. It is the same deterministic approach the studio wrote about in how we generate and grade Sudoku puzzles.
Generated in your browser — no account, no tracking
Everything happens on your device. The puzzle is computed locally, and your progress on today's grid is saved only in your browser's local storage so you can close the tab and pick it up again. That data never leaves your device, contains nothing personal, and disappears when you clear your site data. There are no cookies, no logins, and no requests to any third party to make the puzzle work.
